Swim, Swam, Swum

After watching the kids play in the $24 inflatable pool
I'd bought a few weeks ago, Ed and I knew it was
time to spend a bit more money and get something just
a bit bigger that everyone could enjoy!

We knew this would take some doing, there isn't an inch
of land on our property that is level, but once
the excavator guy started doing his thing,
everything fell into place rather easily.

The kids were a little disappointed when they realized how
s.l.o.w.l.y. the pool began filling, but found plenty of ways to
entertain themselves in 3" of water.
(OK, who am I kidding... *I* found ways to entertain myself in 3" of water!)

We let the pool fill up overnight, and you'd have
thought it was Christmas morning with the excitement
buzzing around the house. At 9:30am I'd run out of
excuses and let the kids swim! It was freezing, but as
the day wore on and the sun did it's thing, it
was a little less freezing by the time they drug themselves in at 6:30pm.

Needless to say, as soon as dinner was cleared away
The Littles passed out promptly on the sofa.

It's going to be a great summer!
