Dominick does Dinner

When he's not hammering nails, or kicking his soccer ball, you can find Dom in the kitchen.
As soon as he hears the opening of cupboards or the clanking of pots and pans, he's on my heels, stool in hand, ready to cook whatever is on the menu.

He's actually a pretty good chef-in-training. He knows the difference between a 1/2 cup and a full cup, and he's very handy with a spoon.

Tonight he made beef tips and rice.

DIANA IS ONE YEAR OLD!

I'm a little bit late on the pictures, but Diana and Dom have both been SO sick, and finding the time to sit down and upload them has been harder than I thought it would be.

Diana celebrated her very first birthday on Thursday October 5th, 2006.

We had a small family party for her Thursday night,
Ed and Rody drove over from NC to treat her to lunch and we had a great time,
I just wish they could have stayed longer.

This is the cake I made her.
(Mom, this icing is downright delicious, the closest I've found to Grandma Odom's!)
