I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!

Paint me Purple and Call me Barney....

I ACTUALLY DID MAKE THE DRESS JUST HOURS AFTER MAKING THE POST ABOUT THE FABRIC!!!

I won't humiliate myself by offering a close-up, (Mom, you'd have a field day) But I think my choice of fabrics paid off. This is SOOOO stinkin' cute!

Keep checking back for pics of Diana modeling it!!!!

Pizza Face

She's covered in Pizza and Girl Scout Cookies and still manages to come off looking like a super-star! (You have to say that like Mary Katherine Gallager would have! LOL)

AND PRESTO

It's not that I don't love my new camera, I *Heart* it like mad, but I need something to do until this absurd drizzle comes to end.

SO: Take a good look because in a few short hours (HA, check back in a week) These simple materials will transform themselves into a stylin' pillowcase dress!

Hopefully, when I'm done the sun might make a brief appearance so I can get some cute pics of Di outside!

PLAY-!DOH!

You know, Play-Doh is just one of those toys that you hate to buy but feel the overwhelming need to put in your cart all the same.

The silence that insues while my kids are "Play-dohing" is priceless. The mess that awaits me is also priceless but in a totally different way.

Oh well, I'll take busy silence over the mess anyday! LOL

PS: DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO BUY "Moon Sand". AAAARRRRGGGHHH. They aren't kidding: It's just damp sand. Makes a mess 10 times worse than Play-Doh! DONT DO IT!

PICTURE THAT!

How do I love my new camera? Oh, let me counteth the ways! LOL

Ed was clear with his rotation lists, so we took the kids to Knoxville to do some shopping and to look for a new camera for Moi. (My Kodak P850 finally bit the dust a few weeks ago).
After much hemming and hawing I ended up with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI 400D. 10.1 beautiful megapixels and a fancy shmancy lens.

I don't have a clue how to use any of it yet, but I had fun trying it out once we got home! LOL

After months of skimping on the picture posts, I have every intention of making it up and then some! Here's just a couple of shots I got today as soon as we got home.

Cupcakes for my Cupcake

I know these are late, but my computer seems to be acting friendly enough today that I'm daring to post some pictures.

I made these fun little cupcakes for Brooke's Class on her birthday and I thought they were just too cute!

HAPPY ELEVENTH BIRTHDAY BROOKE!

happy birthday!

Was it really ELEVEN years ago that I sat on Allison's couch completely freaked out and ranting "I'm alright .... I'm OK!" through every contraction? Certainly not! It can't be so! Ugh, but it is and today is testimant of that! Little Ms. Brooke has celebrated her eleventh birthday. At the risk of sounding so cliche, WHERE DID THE TIME GO??

This year for her birthday, Brooke and I went to Knoxville (ALONE!!!) for a girly day of shopping. She had birthday money in hand and spent the day picking out different birthday gifts. (Thank goodness, because she didn't pick out a single thing I would gotten her)

I would love to post pictures of her loot, but my camera finally gave in and died on me!

DO YOU REMEMBER????

This is primarily addressed to my immediate family but if ANYONE knows what I'm talking about, speak up!

I'm looking for those little plastic gadgetdy/gizmo's that we used as kids to suck the juice from oranges. I KNOW You guys remember those, so please help me. I want some for my kids and can't seem to find them anywhere.

Allie, I'm counting on you! LOL
