Senior Prom - 2009

Just a couple of shots of Christina and her date, David, getting ready to leave for Senior Prom.
The theme this year was "Asian Nights" or something along those lines.
They had dinner out before heading to the dance and based on the raving reviews from Christina, the food and the dance were terrific!

Hope everyone had a great day!
We left Friday and spent the weekend in Asheville, North Carolina visiting Ed's parents.

It's always so much fun to spend time with Ed & Rody and this trip was no exception! Friday they fixed a delicious ham with all the fixings and we had an early Easter dinner. Dan & Kerry were able to stop in with their kids and that just made it even more special.

Saturday, with the Sun apparently on strike, we took the kids to do some shopping and picked up some last minute "Eastery" things.

Sunday was downright gorgeous!! The sun was out, the clouds amscrayed and we enjoyed every minute of it! I took the kids to Easter Mass with Rody and when we got home the little kids had their Easter Egg Hunt!

We made it home today around 5 and I think we're all pooped!

Sunday Duds

Being Easter Sunday, we all attended an Easter Mass with Rody.
Her church is just gorgeous! The building itself is quaint, the garden surrounding it is beautiful!

I couldn't resist snapping some pics of all the kids together, it's rare that they all look dressed up at the same time!

Easter Egg Hunt!

While the kids and I went to Church with Rody (Ed's Mom) the Easter Bunny snuck in and left all kinds of eggs for the kids to find.
Only Dom and Di hunted this year, we tried to recruite the older kids to help, but to no avail! I guess plastic eggs just aren't the "in" thing right now!

Easter Egging!

In theory, coloring hard boiled eggs sounds like a good thing!
"Oh, the kids will love it, it'll be so much fun, they'll always remember this!!"

In reality, it's 45 minutes of me screaming things like
"Do NOT get that stuff on your clothes", "use the egg dipper thingy, not your hands!", "STOP dipping it in so far, it's going to overflow!!!"

Needless to say, I was pretty happy when the "fun" came an end! LOL

Hair cut!!!

I've been trying to get my hair cut for the past week or so but for one reason or another it's just not happened.
Today I decided it HAD to happen, we leave for Asheville tomorrow and I really wanted it cut before we left.
I'm glad I did, I took off about 4 inches and lightened it up a LOT, perfect for spring.

And this was FOUR hours after my appointment. It took forever to get the highlites done, but it was totally worth the wait! I love it!

DUNKIN' DONUTS!

The kids and I have been couting down the days until the Dunkin' Donuts grand opening!

We got up early this morning and headed right over, the donuts were SOO good, but they still need a little work in the Coffee Coolatta department. I'll let them slide this time! LOL
