The Mystery Box Arriveth!

And a good thing too! It was an otherwise crappy day, so seeing a package brought a smile to my face. And what was in that package you may be asking? ?

Much to Dom's delight, first we have a nice solar charged, hand cranked flashlight, cell phone charger combo! Ours is silver (not the yellow pictured) and looks bigger than the one pictured, but it's otherwise identical. It's actually pretty cool and retails on Amazon.com for 35.00

And, less to my delight, but still really fun to open, we have a pair of sterling silver, mother of pearl and onxy inlayed CUFF LINKS! Yeah, not exactly something I need but they're really beautiful. (Our look similar to the ones pictured except they are square) I've found similar ones on Amazon for $25-$225.

All in All, I'm totally happy with our $5 mystery box purchase!

I hope they do it again soon!!

Well, today I ordered my first "MYSTERY BOX" (You gotta say that scooby doo style..lots of echoing and what not)



For only $5 you get whatever the company feels like sending you. Some people have recieved bit ticket items..Rumba Vacuums and Silver cross strollers, others have recieved totally bizarre items and some get deodorent and shampoo!
For those of you (who like myself) have very simple minds... these simple pleasures are sure to bring a smile! Keep tuned to the blog to see what actually comes in the mail!

SNOW!

Oh, how I love snow!
Usually we don't get enough to do much of anything with, but we've finally gotten enough for the kids to really enjoy!

Anthony, Dom and Diana going out in the morning. They'd kinda "skate" on the ice on the upper driveway down to the lower one. The sheen you see is almost all ice.

Diana's new Hairdo!

Diana just LOVES going to the salon to have her hair cut!
She is SO good and lets the hairdressers do as they please without complaint!

Diana's hair has been getting really unruly and she'd been asking for a haircut for a few weeks anway, so I decided to go ahead and get it chopped off!

Goodwill Ballerina

We've been hitting Goodwill a lot recently, always in search of new books for school.
I mean how can you beat any 5 books for a buck?? (Including hardcover!)
Today we hit the Mercer Mayer Motherload!

Anyway, Diana found this leotard somewhere and she was SO excited to come home and model her "ballet ensemble"!
(Yes, I washed it first! LOL)

Claire Huxtable is my hero!

I absolutely LOVED the Cosby Show when it was still on the air, and never miss a chance to watch it on Nick @ Nite.

I found this set of clips on YouTube and laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. Maybe all my parenting techniques came from watching this show.
